Subway careening,
Light rail in Flux,
Newhall to Union,
7th Street to Del Amo,
Pending a Long Beach arrival,
Purple line to Blue line,
Maintenance delays and we're outta time,
Head swarming with a caffeine deficit,
Reeling into a morning calm,
Transit curiosities,
Transit calamities,
I feel a spark with the right utterance,
A special energy is along for the journey,
Across the LA metropolis,
There is a renewed sense of liveliness,
Leaving clues in the lines,
Life is just fine amid uncertain times,
LA Metro take me there,
To the shores that I know so intimately,
To the end of the line,
Blue, that is.
